Hello and welcome to the new University of Chester Community Liaison blog.
My name is Louise Collins and, in October 2015, I was appointed Community Liaison Manager for the University of Chester. This is a new role and it is intended to facilitate positive engagement between the University, its students and the long term residents of Chester.
In the past five weeks I have worked hard to learn about the challenges that face our community from both the short term and long term resident’s point of view. I’ve learnt a lot already but I would never assume that I know everything and am always happy to meet with members of the community to help me understand any challenges that they face.
One of my current priorities is helping the University to communicate with its neighbours and I would like to use this blog to keep members of the Chester community updated on University community events and the work that I am doing. So please follow the blog for up to date information. Also, if you have any suggestions of what you would like to see covered in my blog please do let me know on the email address below.
I am keen to set up a termly newsletter to update long term residents on events happening at the University and work being done around our sites. If you would like to join an email list to receive the newsletter and timely updates on events at the University please let me have details of your name and email address via email@example.com
